How do you track profits? We use a simple points system to track how many of our bets have won and lost each month A point is equal to your standard bet stake i.e 1 point = £1 (read about setting a sensible stake size here) To find out more about points and how we use them to track and calculate our profits, check out this FAQ We like to be open and honest with our customers so freely share our full advised bet history including the cumulative total of bets won & bets lost on a rolling basis. To access the raw data (excel format) click here

Is profit guaranteed? No value betting service can or should guarantee profit. There are always ups and downs but the key to long term profit is ensuring you're placing as many of the bets we post as possible - Volume is key to smoothing out the inevitable variances you will encounter. The hardest part about value betting is having the right mentality, you’ll always lose more bets than you win, but the winners will always put you in profit overall as long as you keep taking value. It can be hard to crack the mentality! Just keep your eye on the long term profits and keep placing the bets!
-
How much can I make following Value Vultures bets? The bets we advise always have an edge, and it's that edge that brings profit over the longer term. But over the course of weeks and months your profits will go up as well as down, which is variance doing it's thing. Since May 2023 roughly 27% of our bets have won, which doesn't sound a lot but that 27% bring all the profit. Therefore; consistency is important. Check out the 'Our Bet Data' page to see the profit and points performance
-
What does Yield mean?Yield means how much you profit per point invested. The yield figure is really useful to measure how effective our bets are over time. Calculating Yield in sports betting is also very easy. You just divide the Total cumulative points profit with total amount of points staked We use Yield as a measure as it doesn't change depending on bankroll, so can be applied to all users.
-
What are ‘points’Points are our measure of tracking the performance of our value picks. Every bet is classed as 1pt and our clever data team work out the value of each winning bet to give the overall points figures on a weekly/monthly basis.
-
Will you track points for the value bets and the non-value bets separately?Yes! From the 1st March 2023 all bets posted by the Value Vultures will be tracked. We will still update each month on points performance, but will split the Value and non-value bets and report on them as two seperate figures.

Some of our most commonly recommended bookmakers are: Sky Bet Bet365 Paddy Power William Hill - Special free bet offer available for new customers here 10bet - Special free bet offer available for new customers here Hollywood Bets - Special free bet offer available for new customers here Betfair Sportsbook Betfred Quinnbet Betway We will always recommend the best bookmaker at the time of posting; you may choose to use another bookmaker but we recommend following our instructions wherever possible.
-
I already have existing accounts - Will value betting cause any issues? There is potential for existing accounts to be restricted if a bookmaker decides a certain account is in their eyes taking too much value. This can sometimes mean accounts are restricted and you're unable to place bets at the same stake level. We take steps to try and stay under the radar by using different bookmakers at different times but by using our service you have to accept this risk.

Isn’t this just gambling? There is a clear distinction between gambling and value betting. Gambling is randomly picking bets in the hope that you win. Value betting uses the power of mathematical probability to give us an edge against a bookmaker. By consistently exploiting that edge we are able to gain profit.

What is value betting?Value betting takes the emotion out of sports betting, stripping it back to a purely systematic approach that applies a mathematical formula to identify bets where the likelihood of a given outcome is higher than the odds offered by the bookie. By constantly taking these types of bets mathematical probability is always on our side and our past performance shows that if you consistently place value bets you will profit over time. Luckily you don’t have to worry about the complex equations; we do all that for you!

How much should I place on each bet? This is really important. Firstly we urge all our members to always gamble responsibly. Everyones financial situation is different but as a rough guide we recommend each bet you place should be between 0.1 - 0.5% of your bank roll. So if you start with a £500 bankroll, your stake per bet should be no more than £2.50 on each bet you place. Then stick to that stake for every single bet. For example - if you start at £1 a bet, stick to £1 a bet no matter the odds. If you're new to value betting, start small and watch your pot grow before upping your stakes. Remember, value betting is a long term betting approach so profits will go up as well as down but over time your overall profit will grow. Above all, we urge you to bet responsibly at all times, and always within your means. If value betting stops being fun, please consider speaking to https://www.gamstop.co.uk/ or https://www.begambleaware.org/ for support and advice.

Do you give details of what makes the bets value?Team Value Vultures identifies value bets using a simple mathematical formula to identify bets where the likelihood of a given outcome is higher than the odds offered by the bookie. We only advise bets where there is the required edge to make profits over the long term. We have chosen not to display these workings, including and not limited to giving fair odds or any other similar terms because we have designed this service to be as simple as possible for new or experienced value bettors. We publish details of all our bets so anyone can review these themselves should they wish.
-
Who are the Value Vultures? We are a group of friends who love making money! We don’t have any affiliation to a team or league - We don’t care about player xyz - We just find and follow value bets religiously, and in doing so make our members great profits!
-
How many bets can I expect to place? The volume of bets depends on the day of the week and what events are on. Our main focus is on top level football leagues in the UK and Europe. Weekends are typically where we will be posting the most bets (sometimes 50+) and at first it can seem overwhelming but once you see it works you won’t give it a second thought.

What do the terms mean in the bet alerts?Market - Market is the type of bet we are advising, for example a market could be First goal scorer FGS - First goal scorer AGS - Anytime goal scorer/player to score SoT - Shot on target EW - An Each way bet covers different outcomes of a bet. For example we sometimes advise to place a each way (EW) bet on a First Goalscorer market (FGS), this means that we are covering a first goal scorer and anytime goalscorer in one bet. Don't worry if this sound confusing, each way bets will be clearly marked when we post the bet alert. All you need to do is select the 'EW' box when placing the bet BTTS - Both teams to score DDHH - A Betfred specific offer (Double Delight/Hat Trick Heaven) which relates to the first goal scorer market. If the chosen goal scorer scores first and then scores a second or third goal Betfred double and then triple the original payout.
